Your scanners, ours, or some of each.

The software is priced on how many scanners count at once. Hire is priced per scanner per day. Those are two different sums and most people want to see them added up, so here they are added up — all inc GST.

On scanners you already own

Software only.

Nothing arrives, nothing goes back, and there is no hire line at all. If your Zebras are current, this is the whole cost.

Your count Scanners Software Hire Total inc GST
Two of your own, one site 2$220— $220
Six of your own, one site 6$594— $594

The licence runs seven days either way, so a count that slips from Friday to Monday does not cost more. Check your model first if you are not sure — it is a two-minute job and better than finding out on the morning.

Hiring ours

Six TC8000s, staged and configured.

They arrive set up for your site with charging cradles and spare batteries. Hire is $110 per scanner per day, or $440 per scanner for four days up to seven — so a week is never dearer than four days.

Your count Scanners Software Hire Total inc GST
One of ours, one day 1$110$110 $220
One of ours, a week 1$110$440 $550
All six, one day 6$594$660 $1,254
All six, a week 6$594$2,640 $3,234

The software column does not move when the hire runs longer, because a licence already runs seven days. Delivery is on top: $40 one way by courier within Sydney, or $539 and we bring them, set them up and stay while your first operator signs in. You send them back either way.

Some of each

Own four, hire two.

The common one, and the cheapest way to put six people on the floor if you already have four working scanners.

Your count Scanners Software Hire Total inc GST
Four of yours, two of ours, a week 6$594$880 $1,474

Software is counted on all six, because six are counting at once and that is what the price is on. Hire is counted on the two that arrive. Against hiring all six for the week at $3,234, owning four saves $1,760 — which is roughly what four used TC8000s cost, and the reason the question is worth asking before the count rather than after it.

Sites cost nothing.

None of these totals change if you count two locations instead of one. A site is a location — the sheds, mezzanine and yard on it are part of that site, not another one — and each location is its own counting event with its own bin locations and its own reports. Scanners are counted in total across them, so six across two sites is six. Tell us how many sites when you buy, so the licence covers them.
