Running the current app
The same build as every other scanner, whatever the current version is when they arrive. Nothing about these devices is a cut-down version — the Android floor came down to 5.1 so that they could run it, and they do.
Most businesses count once or twice a year. Buying scanners for that means they sit in a cupboard for eleven months, and the battery is flat when you next want them. Hire ours instead: they arrive set up for your site, you count, they go back.
Not per scan, not per part number, and not a minimum spend. One rate for the device in your hand and everything that keeps it running all day.
| Hire | Per device | All six | Inc GST |
|---|---|---|---|
| A day | $55 | 6 × $55 | $330 |
| A week — up to seven days | $220 | 6 × $220 | $1,320 |
A week is four days' hire for up to seven, so a count that runs over a weekend costs no more than one that finishes on Friday. Take one device or take all six.
The software is separate, and sold per count. Six scanners on the portal is $396 inc GST — $66 a scanner, and sites cost nothing. So six devices for a day is $726 all up, and for a week $1,716, including every report. See the software pricing →
They are from 2015. Zebra does not sell them any more, and we would not sell you one — but you are not buying it, you are counting with it for a few days.
The same build as every other scanner, whatever the current version is when they arrive. Nothing about these devices is a cut-down version — the Android floor came down to 5.1 so that they could run it, and they do.
A large screen with an on-screen number pad, and a proper scan trigger. The count box asks for digits, not a qwerty keyboard, because the app knows the difference.
Not six in stock with more in a warehouse — six is what exists. Two counts in the same week will collide, so tell us your dates early and we will hold them.
As the fleet grows these will be replaced with newer hardware. The hire rate is for a working scanner set up for your site, whichever model that turns out to be.
Wifi, the scanner profile, the app installed and pointed at your portal, and the company and site already saved on the login screen. An operator signs in and counts.
Included in the rate. Two four-bay cradles go out with the scanners — eight bays for six devices, so every one is on charge overnight and two bays spare — and each cradle charges four spare batteries beside the devices. A scanner that goes flat halfway down a bay is a ten-second battery change, not a walk back to a charger.
Parts and bin locations on the portal before the devices arrive, so the first scan of the day resolves to a description rather than an error. If your files need work, we will say so and quote it.
They go home the way they came. Fair wear is expected — these are warehouse devices. Damage beyond that, or a device that does not come back, is quoted at what it costs to replace.
Worth being plain about, because it is the first thing people ask and the answer decides whether we are the right call.
We do not supply counting staff and we do not run the count for you. Your people know your stock, your racking and what a part looks like when the label has come off — and they are the ones who have to stand behind the numbers afterwards.
What we make sure of is that the tools do not get in their way: scanners that work, data that resolves, and someone on the phone if something does not add up.
We are in Berowra, north of Sydney. What it costs to get six scanners to you and back depends entirely on where you are, so we will not pretend there is a flat rate.
We bring them, set them up on your wifi and take them away afterwards. Charged by the hour, quoted before we start.
Sent staged and ready, back by return courier. Quoted per job, and we will tell you plainly if the freight makes hiring the wrong answer.
The cheapest option, and often the fastest. Berowra NSW, by arrangement.
How many scanners, which days, and roughly what you are counting. Six is the whole fleet, so the earlier we know, the more likely they are yours.
