Why not a phone
A consumer phone in a warehouse is a broken phone.
Not because it is fragile — though it is — but because a camera is not a scan engine. A phone reads a barcode in about a second, in good light, held still. A Zebra scan engine reads it instantly, at an angle, in a dim aisle, off a creased label, hundreds of times an hour, with a trigger the operator can find without looking.

Configured for your site
Wifi, scanner profile and the app installed and pointed at your portal. Out of the box, an operator signs in and counts.
Identified properly
Each device is staged so it reports its real serial number with every count. On the portal you see the last four digits, matching the label on the unit in somebody's hand.
Supported by people who answer
Hardware, software and labels from one supplier. When something goes wrong at 6am on stocktake day, there is one number to ring.
Not sure which one?
Tell us the environment: aisle widths, whether it is a freezer, how far the operator walks, how many hours a shift. The right device follows from that — and we would rather send one that fits than the most expensive one.
