Zebra MC9400 / MC9450
Why this one

The MC9000 line has been the default in the harshest warehouses for over twenty years, and the MC9400 is its current form. It exists for the sites that get through other hardware: freezers, dust, chemicals, constant drops.

Two options matter most for stocktaking. Freezer variants handle the condensation that kills ordinary devices moving between a cold store and a loading dock. Long-range scanning reads a label many metres up a rack, so nobody puts a person on a forklift to count a top shelf.

With Stocktakes Online

How it counts.

Everything about Stocktakes Online works identically here — but two things specific to this device matter on the portal.

Long-range scanning changes how a count is organised: an operator can stand in the aisle and read levels above them, so bins are counted in vertical runs rather than by lifting somebody. And in a freezer, where nobody wants to stand still, the bin lock matters more than anywhere — the operator scans the location once and works the bay without re-scanning it in gloves.

Is this the right one for your site?

Tell us the aisle widths, whether it is a freezer, how far the operator walks and how many hours a shift. We would rather send a device that fits than the most expensive one in the range.
